The Asian Network for Public Opinion Research (ANPOR) has been an important venue for scholars, practitioners, journalists, and students from various countries around the world to participate and contribute to the betterment of Asian societies through the lens of public opinion research since 2012. Among many activities of ANPOR, the Annual Conference is perhaps the largest event. The previous conferences in Seoul, Niigata, Bangkok, Battambang/Siem Reap, Shanghai, and Bandung have all been a great success drawing participants from more than twenty countries. Idea, research, and cooperation have been the fruit of our gatherings. ANPOR has indeed come a long way since its establishment and steadily grown up. The network’s journal – the Asian Journal for Public Opinion Research (AJPOR) – has now been indexed in the Web of Science, the Korean Citation Index database and Scopus and will continue to be listed in other world ranking database.

To commemorate the 7th year of our achievement, we are very humble and delighted to have our friends from Faculty of Mass Communication, Chiang Mai University in Chiang Mai, Thailand to host our 2019 ANPOR Annual Conference. You are cordially invited to submit abstracts and papers to present at the conference. The theme of our conference this year is “Power of Public Opinion and Multicultural Communication toward Global Transformation”. The ANPOR Annual Conference will be held in the ancient northern capital of Thailand, Chiangmai Province, during the 6th – 9th of November 2019.
